    Bit to Do

Thanks to Ethridge Enterprises, LLC, I am performing in the St. Patrick's Day parade this year, and I'm honored to have some of Louisville's best artistic talent on my team. The parade is March 12 and looks like it may be bigger than last year's, which had 120 floats and about 30,000 people in attendance. It begins at Broadway on Baxter Ave at 3 p.m. and continues down Baxter Ave towards Mid-City mall. It runs until about 5 p.m.

The parade is hosted by the Louisville division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and drew about 30,000 people last year. Businesses, families, and performers made up over 120 units. This year, the organizers expect to top that and plan to honor police, firemen, and first responders. This year also marks the 175th anniversary of the AOH in America.

My float will be in the "Floats" category, and I will be releasing a new dance version of my piece "Calling all the Magical People" as I bring the enchanted forest to the streets of Bardstown Rd, blurring the line where dreams and reality meet.  Cool world productions will be creating a video of our day, sponsored by the Great Escape and Bearno's in the Highlands. The video will include footage of all of the girls getting ready in crazy costumes, parade footage, and the after party. It will be released on my web site

In addition to other artists, groups, families, dancers from the Va Va Vixens will be joining me in calling all creatures of the imagination to step through the mists and gather on the streets of Bardstown Road to make some noise to remind others that we are here and that IMAGINATION is alive and well and ready to thrive in a world that needs creative help.

You're invited to throw down like only the Fae and creatures of the subconscious know how. People lining the streets have the chance to be in the video we are making. Dress in costume as whatever you deem magical creatures and hold up a sign saying "Yes, Magical people ARE here". We'll turn our cameras outwards to find our magical brethren.

What are magical creatures? Faerie, Unicorn, troll, goblins, angels, jedis, comic book characters, UNITE! I really want to see what you think is magical. Come to the parade and join with other magical people as we rally together to make some noise, make our presence known, and open the floodgates of BELIEF that we can live out loud and make dreams into reality.

There will be magical meet-up after party at Bearno's in the Highlands where space is reserved for us! (Give us time to get the float put away and get there) We should be there about 6:30. Later that night, there is karaoke.
