Yelp Louisville teams up with University of Louisville to offer a schooled series. This Saturday, February 28, join Yelp Louisville and UofL for a crash course in Louisville Local for residents of this great city. It's called "Yelp Gets Schooled at UofL" and is a totally new and unique initiative.

Included in this series of events are:

    • An Aliens vs. Astronauts party at the Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium
    • A colorful "hint" whodunit with the University's Department of Theater Arts
    • A night in the UofL Archives
    • An inside look at Jazz Fest 2015 with UofL Jamey Aebersold Jazz Studies.

The inside look at Jazz Fest 2015 is the kick off event for "Yelp Gets Schooled at UofL." It is Saturday, February 28 from 7pm-11:30pm. Here is a description from the Facebook event page: "Guests will be treated to a Blues Brothers-themed private reception catered with light bites from Varanese. University of Louisville jazz department faculty will be on hand to give an insider's look at the concert, which will feature Derrick and Vincent Gardner. And then afterward, we'll have some after-concert shenanigans at Griff's, the restaurant by campus recently opened by Louisville basketball legend Darrell Griffith." The Jazz event is at Comstock Concert Hall on campus. Learn more about the program and RSVP here.

The entire Get Schooled series happens on the following dates: February 28, March 18, April 14, and May 12. Other events are expected to be announced soon. You'll find this geeky book lover librarian at the Night at the Archives event. How cool-to go behind the scenes into the history of my alma mater sounds absolutely intriguing to me.

Use the hashtag #GetsSchooled on Twitter. Follow them @YelpLouisville and @UofL. This event is on the Belknap campus at Cardinal Boulevard and 1st Street. The cost is $15, and to register you must sign up for a Yelp account, which is free to use.
