    Bit to Do

Bricks & Minifigs will feed your inner geek

This past Saturday, my son and I attended the soft opening of the new store in Middletown, Bricks & Minifigs.

    Everything was awesome.

For those not in the know, Bricks & Minifigs is a store that specializes in new and used Legos: sets, mini-figures and loose bricks. It’s not officially affiliated with the official Lego corporation but maybe that’s why they had older more obscure things like smaller Lego storage heads, older series mini-figures and larger sets usually only found on-line (Star Wars Death Star, anyone?)

The store trades and buys collections as well, both large and small.

The Grand Opening will be this Saturday, March 22, and they will have a “pick-a-brick” discount that could net you up to 50% off your purchase and everyone who makes a purchase will be entered to win a birthday party in their Lego themed party room.

One of my son’s favorite parts of the store was the Make Your Own Mini-figures tables. We spent quite a bit of time searching through all the loose pieces to make just the right Lego character.

My son is already requesting a return visit this weekend.

If you know anyone who loves Legos, then a visit to this store will be well worth the trip.

My only regret is that I did not have enough extra money to bring home the Star Wars Ewok Village.

    Maybe next time.

The Brick & Minifigs store is at 12001 Shelbyville Rd, Ste. 102 and is open 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. daily and 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
