Don't forget to take some time in your busy Memorial Day weekend to visit Boomtown Ball & Festival this Sunday in downtown New Albany. This is the second year for the FREE all-day fest presented by Mayor Jeff Gahan, 91.9 WFPK, and New Albany's native band, Houndmouth

Boomtown is an excellent chance to cross the river and explore the historic downtown of New Albany. A progressive city that features expansions of Louisville Businesses like, Dragon King's Daughter, Toast on Market, and Regalo. While the city inhabits influences from the across the Ohio, it also harbors its own flare on keeping things local with its own set of unique, independent businesses whose doors will be wide open for the event.

Sunday's musical line-up will include local artists, as well as, out of town acts. Curated in part by Houndmouth the artists will include, Langhorne Slim, The Apache Relay, The Features, Big Big, Jalin Roze, Lazy Sunday, Lydial Burrell, and The Hart Strings

With the help of Flea Off Market the festival will also have an open air bizarre of fine crafts and unique goods. Of course, no festival is complete without food and BEER! Boomtown will provide a host of local food vendors and New Albanian, New Albany's local brewery, will be quenching beer thirsts with a variety of their very own craft beer.

Gates for Boomtown open at 1:00 and musical performances begin at 1:30. The festival will take place along Market and Bank Streets in the heart of downtown New Albany.
