    For those parents who have kids at home on the Friday after Thanksgiving, and are not planning on going shopping (!), here are 5 ideas for what to do on your day off together.

    -->Activities at the Louisville Free Public Library: Friday, November 29: Preschool storytime at the Main Library at 10am. Mystery movie night at the Okolona Library in which all adults, families, and younger children can drop by and grab a movie off of the mystery shelf. Write a review and be eligible for a drawing for movie related prizes. Main Library, 301 York Street. Okolona Library, 7709 Preston Highway.

    Toddler Time at SkyZone

    SIGS Sportsplex in New Albany

    -->Yew Dell Gardens Express train exhibit from 10am-4pm. Free for members and children under age 12. $7 for adults, $5 for seniors.

    -->Light Up Louisville – Kids in attendance that night get a free photo with Santa, sponsored by Moe’s Southwest Grill and Louisville Family Fun! After the light-up downtown portion is over, families can make their way into the Kentucky International Convention Center where they can meet Santa and get a photo.

    -->Tales at Twilight at Barnes and Noble on Hurstbourne Parkway, Friday, November 29 at 7pm.

    Saturday, November 30th:

    Working Mama Group at 11am and New Mama Group at 1pm at Mama’s Hip, located at 1559 Bardstown Road in the Highlands.

    Local Speed free family workshop from 11am-3:30pm. The ChangingSpeed.org space in NuLu is a wonderful option for the entire family to get a fantastic arts experience over the weekend! Local Speed is located at 822 E. Market Street.
