    Bit to Do

Bananafish Tattoo Parlour is the best little tattoo shop in town.

2 weeks ago the bustling neighborhood that is downtown New Albany, Indiana gained their latest local business owner. Someone that has grown near and dear to my heart over the last 6 years. From a small shop in another Indiana neighborhood, to a multi artist location on Bardstown Road, and now a shop of her own. Amber has came full circle and is now the proud owner of her own shop.

A plan that has been in the works for over a year, she's been carefully working on building a smart, profitable business for herself. After working in a handful of other shops she realized that the only way to do what she loves how she wants to do it is to be her own boss. From her experiences in other shops she saw what worked and what didn't. She learned from previous bosses experiences, saw their struggles and grew from them. She's a firm believer that taking her time to open was key in having the shop open without delays. By opening her own shop she's able to provide the kind of atmosphere to clients that she's always wanted to have. A place where she can cater to her customers, while keeping her costs low and creating custom work for all clients. I can personally attest that she puts her heart and soul into her work and has made me feel like a member of her family since my eighteenth birthday.

If you're new to town, or perhaps looking for a new artist Bananafish Tattoo Parlour is a great place to start. The shop is celebrating their grand opening on April 26th, this day will also act as Customer Appreciation Day for all current guests of hers. Va Va Vixens will be performing, Bank State Brew house will be providing plenty of free beer, and Mary McGill will be donating celebatory cakes. Free beer and entertainment, and a chance to see what's been in the works for over a year. What could be better?! You can view some of her work on her Facebook Page or Website, and keep up to date with what she's doing on her Instagram
