Apparently sensing the public's overwhelming demand for even more ways to waste time on the Internet, Google has launched the 'Bacon number' search option. The feature allows users to find the degree of separation between a celebrity and Kevin Bacon by typing in the celebrity's name followed by the words "Bacon number." Google shows the connections by listing the movies or projects in which the celebrities have been involved, linking them together until they reach Kevin Bacon. The search option is an updated version of the party game "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon," which began in the 1990's.

In a world where Snooki of Jersey Shore fame is separated from Kevin Bacon by only three degrees and drag queen RuPaul only by two, finding a celebrity with a high Bacon number is actually quite difficult. In short, everyone seems to be connected to Kevin Bacon in some way. But would this be true of Louisville celebrities? I decided to test it out. Some of the connections make perfect sense, while others are just plain weird. Here are the top ten noteworthy Louisville bacon numbers.
