If you don’t normally travel the Bardstown Road corridor with a passenger who is intent on reading every banner and sign, then you may be unaware that one of Louisville’s finest restaurants, Asiatique, is now serving brunch. Hell, you might not know the restaurants even exists.

Every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. you can take part in its modern Asian-fusion style fare without all the to do of going out to dinner.

Dishes include one of my favorite meals, Vietnamese Pho (seared beef and noodles in broth accented with fresh basil and lime), plus lettuce lamb wraps, tuna tataki over fresh greens, as well as more recognizable egg and brunchy-lunchy style dishes with a bit of Chef Looi’s flair. The buttermilk pancakes with pistachios, coconut milk infused maple syrup, and fresh berries are truly intriguing. Along with an excellent Asian bbq pork sandwich, a seafood omelet, an assortment of pastas, and the usual, but outstanding, breakfast staples, this brunch is not one to miss.

And, don’t forget the always excellent libations created at the fully stocked bar.  Fresh squeezed mimosa, hand-made bloody mary, ginger cocktail; I wish it were Sunday afternoon already.

Asiatique is at 1767 Bardstown Road. Call 502-451-2749 for reservations
