Pint night at Cumberland Brews: 2.75 a pint every Tuesday… all Tuesday and there’s barley room at the inn.

Even with the upstairs open, Cumberland is wall to wall with beer lovers taking a break from the already stressful week. They’re practically giving it away at this price, and for this price I would give them an organ (perhaps my liver…it’s really of no use any longer). Staples, Pale Ale, Red Ale, Nitro Porter, and Cream Ale are available, as are their usually wonderful seasonals.

I opted for the L&N 152, an old style California Steam brew. Similar to of course Anchor Steam, but it doesn’t taste as if it traveled from San Francisco via covered wagon in the summer heat. I think it would be perfect with sweet potato french fries…and, guess what they have in the kitchen. TUESDAY. Remember TUESDAY.
