We see you appreciate a good vintage. But there comes a time to try something new. Click here to head over to the redesigned Louisville.com. It's where you'll find all of our latest work. And plenty of the good ol' stuff, too, looking better than ever.

    Bit to Do

    Print this page
    1. Head to one of the area’s local parks, whether it’s one of the Louisville Metro Parks, one of the Olmstead Parks, or The Parklands of Floyds Fork, or Blackacre Nature Preserve or Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve, just to name a few. A beautiful walk with nature awaits you virtually anywhere.
    2. Check out Bernheim Forest, Jefferson Memorial Forest, or take the drive to scenic Brown County, Indiana or make a stop in Madison, IN or Bardstown, KY. Those little towns are my family’s favorite places to walk around during our favorite time of year.
    3. Head out to Abraham Lincoln’s Historic Birthplace site; the drive down 65 South is really nice and the country roads are calling for your scenic pleasure to be filled.
    4. Drive down to Old Louisville, park your car, and get out and walk the cobblestone streets and sidewalks of one of the oldest portions of Louisville, full of rich history and beauty. You can go during the infamous St. James Court Art Show, or try another less busy time when you can fully take in the gorgeous views. End your day at Dizzy Whiz or Ollie’s Trolley for a change of scenery!
    5. Check out some of the Kentucky Roadside Farm markets and family-run farms throughout Louisville and Kentuckiana. Sure, you can head to Huber’s or Gallrein Farms for the umpteenth time, or you can find a new place you’ve never been. One that we are going to check into this fall is Bray Orchard in Bedford, KY, which we drove past on our way to Madison, IN last year. Our favorite local roadside market is Tower View Farm & Nursery near Jeffersontown. We’re heading there soon to pick out our fall décor, take a tractor ride through the fields, and bring home our pumpkins for our front porch!
