We have finally reached summer (after that winter, I thought we’d never see it)! Some of the best parts of living in this beautiful city are the constant opportunities arising for a local to do something exciting and fun, especially in the summer. “Louisville Slugger Field, home of the Louisville Bats, is one of the most exciting and attractive sites in minor league baseball.” Here are five reasons that your next adventure should be to Slugger Field:

    It’s affordable

It can sometimes be a challenge to find a worthwhile summer activity that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. The Bats games are affordable to all. Tickets can range from $7.00 to $23.00, and run even cheaper apiece for a bigger group. Along with affordable seats, Slugger Field runs can’t-be-missed promotions, such as $1 beer nights and $0.50 hot dog nights! At most sporting events, it’s the concession stands that empty your wallet, but not at Slugger Field.

    It’s fun

When you walk into the park, you automatically walk into an exciting atmosphere created by the fans, the kids, and the employees. Whether you are going for a date night, a girls’ night, or a family outing, you are insured a good time at the Bats games. Slugger Field accommodates many group events throughout the season and consistently remains a popular spot in the city. How could you not have fun with good company, good food, and America’s pastime?

    It’s family friendly

Want to get the family out of the house? Bats games are affordable and easy events for the family. With mascot Buddy Bat and the playground, Slugger Field reaches out to fans of all ages. During the fall, attend the Field’s Halloween night where any kid in costume get a free field reserved ticket and an opportunity to trick-or-treat. It’s not just a good time for mom and dad, but the kids will be excited to go to a game too.

It’s in the heart of downtown

Slugger Field is in a prime location in Louisville, right on East Main Street--and you can’t miss it. Surrounding the field are so many opportunities for a great time before or after a game. The field is within walking distance to the Slugger Museum and Factory. Next to the field is Against the Grain Brewery for a quick bite to eat or a beer after the game. Being downtown makes it in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the city. There are a variety of bars, restaurants, and shops nearby, so the fun doesn’t have to stop after the game!

Because we’re American, gosh darn it!

Why go to the Bats games? Because it’s just so perfectly classic! Baseball is widely known as America’s pastime, and with a great location right here in our city, why not take advantage of such a great opportunity for fun? After all, what’s more American than a beer, a hot dog, and a baseball game? Grab your family and friends and head down to Slugger Field this summer!
