Yesterday Forecastle announced it would be announcing its lineup on Tuesday, January 27. That's only 6 days away! Forecastle has sent clues and people have guessed what bands, DJs, and singers will be on the list. Some believe we could see the likes of Dave Matthews Band, Weezer, The Gaslight Anthem, or Portugal. The Man on the waterfront in mid-July. All that is speculation until next week. Here's to some more of it.

Forecastle does a great job embracing Louisville music. Its lineup every year seems to have a handful of Louisville bands and I believe this year's lineup will be no different. For argument's sake this list will include no artist who has already performed Forecastle therefore artists like JaLin Roze, The Pass, A Lion Named Roar, Lydia Burrell and more will not be on this list.

    1. White Reaper--This is the most obvious choice in my mind. The EP they released last year was one of Louisville's best and the group's momentum is only getting stronger. Their version of rock is hard enough for a mosh pit but has to the hooks to keep you dancing. If you like The Ramones, you will like White Reaper.

    2. 1200--This guy can absolutely put on a show. The rapper is actually classically trained and every day it seems like he coming up with something never done before. At a Headliners show in December he played with a string section and choir. Louisville's hip hop scene is too hot right now for Forecastle to skip it. This guy is the one to do represent it.

    3. In Lightning--A lot can be said without saying anything at all. This instrumental group does exactly that. In Lightning consists of guitar, bass, drums, cello, violin, and keys. If you think it's odd that instrumental music could be catchy, In Lightning will prove you wrong.

    4. Twin Limb--As I've written before, when Twin Limb's new record comes out, I hope a lot of people notice because they are doing great stuff. They make a great mesmerizing dreamy pop perfect for an early afternoon set in the sun.

    5. Kaleidico--This psychedelic pop/rock group would be great for Forecastle. They reported that they sent a record to press on New Year's Eve 2014 so their possible set at Forecastle would include many new tunes. Tame Impala fans should check out Kaleidico.
