If you're like the rest of us, you're probably in a last minute mad dash trying to find just the right thing to show your mother, grandmother or wife how much you love and appreciate her this Mother's Day. But don't' sweat it, we've got a Louisville gift guide that is jam-packed with goodies sure to delight her.

    1. Traditionally speaking, flowers are always a win. Surprise her with a hand picked bouquet from Nanz & Kraft (and bonus, they deliver).

    2. Pamper her at one of Louisville's best with a trip to Z Salon and Spa. They offer a wide range of services including massages, spa packages, facials, plus body services as well as makeup and hair styling options that will leave her feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

    3. If she's the type to snuggle up with a good book, pop in Carmichael's Book Store. It's Louisville's oldest independent bookstore for a reason, they've got everything.

    4. Stop in one of Louisville's many boutiques like Clay and Cotton, The Pink Door and Revelry Boutique Gallery. They have tons of of fun, vibrant local art and goods.

    5. You can never (I repeat, NEVER) go wrong with chocolate, especially when it's from Art Eatables or Cellar Door Chocolates. These espresso bourbon balls are delish and only $24.72.

If she already has everything her heart desires, spend the day with her making memories in and around Lou. Chances are, that's probably what she wants most anyway.

    6. Schedule an appointment with Glassworks and blow your own vase with her. Not only will you guys have fun creating something completely unique and creative, but she'll come home with a beautiful piece of art.

    7. If you're working with small children to celebrate Mother's day, painting your own pottery at Louisville Stoneware is the perfect outing. Everyone will have fun decorating a special piece for Mom that she'll get to take home and enjoy forever.

    8. If she loves to be in the kitchen, try Cooking at the Cottage. Their upcoming "Like Mother, Like Daughter Tea Party," catered by Adrienne & Co is a the perfect slow paced evening to spend with mom.

    9. If thrifting and antiquing is her thing, peruse joints like Joe Ley Antiques, The Nitty Gritty, and The Derby City Antique Mall.

    10. Take her on a tour of a local distillery. Visit Copper and Kings, known for their rooftop view of Lou (and their brandy of course), or Huber’s Orchard and Winery, where the drive up is just as spectacular as their wine, vineyards and brand new Starlight distillery.
