This Friday & Saturday nights at the Zeppelin Cafe' in Germantown their hosting the first annual Germantown Blues Festival. Each evening starting at 5:30 there will be three bands playing over the course of the night, and admission is free for both days. Hickory, the side street next to the bar will be closed off at that intersection where they'll have a large stage set up for the bands to play.
The Cafe itself will be open for normal business so you'll be able to throw down on the normal grub that they have any other day, but outside the bar will also be cooking up brats, pork chops, chicken, as well as Nathan's hotdogs. The first band Friday evening starting at 5:30 is The King Bees, The Saints go on sometime shortly thereafter around 7:15, and finally that night around 9:00 Governor Davis & the Blues Ambassadors will be playing. The lineup Saturday starts at the same time with One Shot Johnny, followed by Lamont Gillispie & 100 Proof Blues, and ending with Nick Stump Blues All-Stars.
Be sure to ride by and stop in this weekend for some great blues music and to support a good cause, because one dollar from each beer sold goes to the Musicians Emergency Resource Foundation. The Festival will be going down at the corner of Hickory Street and Burnett Avenue at 1036 East Burnett, Louisville, Ky. 40213.
