Your favorite local spot for nightlife and entertainment can also be your favorite place to eat. That’s what the people at Saint’s in St. Matthews tell me anyways.

“One thing people don’t really know about us is that our food is awesome,” manager Bruce Jarrett said.

Saint’s has a variety of Italian-style dishes to choose from, most notably their selection of gourmet, specialty and build-your-own pizzas. Prices are generally concurrent with other pizza places around town; $6.50, $10 and $13 for small, medium and large, before adding extra costs for toppings.

“The guys that started Saint’s seven years ago were all from the area, and at the time there weren’t a whole lot of choices in location,” Jarrett said. “They were the first ones to open something new around the St. Matthew’s area.”

Aside from the food, Saint’s also has its share of weekend nightlife entertainment. Equipped with a live DJ, the Skybar, located on the upstairs level of the bar, usually draws large crowds on the third Friday of every month, becoming tradition as a local night out.

And on Saturday’s for five bucks, 98.9 Radio Now uses the SkyBar at Saint’s as their own personal nightclub, bringing a DJ, live radio personalities and local celebrities, not to mention Grey Goose and Bacardi drink specials.

If that isn’t enough, the outdoor patio is scheduled to be remodeled before September 1, bringing another attraction to compliment the already popular Skybar.
