There's a more entertaining way to fulfill errand duties - or at least grocery duties. Whole Foods offers musical entertainment tonight as you shop from 5 to 7 p.m. It's also family night, so kids eat free.
Big Poppa Stampley performs a mixture of jazz, blues, and Carribean music with originals and popular covers. His upbeat personality and style leaves listeners in a great mood. It's no wonder he's award winning and world traveled. I stopped in Whole Foods during one of these shows recently and everyone standing in the lines seemed to really enjoy and appreciate the atmosphere. Adults and children alike gathered with coffee or meals to enjoy the music in the cafe area for a while. It definitely seems to beat rushing through the aisles only to be frustrated as you have to wait in a line listening only to the haggling or complaints of other customers.
Whole Foods also offers other nifty events and programs.
