The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Out of the Darkness Community Walk takes place this Saturday November 6 at Waterfront Park beginning at 10:00 A.M. For a member of the local cover group MidLife Crisis Band, that will be part of the post race entertainment, performing at this event is particularly personal and important.

John Prine played a spirited two-hour set Friday night to an appreciative crowd at The Louisville Palace, performing songs that spanned his 40-year career. Sara Watkins was a worthy opener who also proved to be a fine duet partner for Prine.

This Saturday at Christ Evangical United Church, Louisville singer-songwriter Cheyenne Marie Mize will be performing in support of her new CD Before Lately. The Louisville show is the second date of a tour that finds her going across the US and into Canada this fall. In the meantime, you can purchase a tune not on the album with proceeds going to Norton Healthcare's Music Therapy program.
