    As one of six American non-profit regional theatre companies named to the "Leading National Theatres Program" on December 15, Actors Theatre of Louisville received a $400,000 challenge grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, it was announced by Marc Masterson, the theatre’s Artistic Director.

    Dr. Timir Banerjee, 62, walked across the Second Street Bridge on May 10 with a wooden cane, a backpack and a mission. His mission: to walk 2,600 miles from Louisville to Portland, Ore., and raise awareness and funds for SPAVA, a nonprofit organization he founded that stands for the Society for the Prevention of Aggressiveness and Violence among Adolescents.

    The Dew Action Sports Tour, the first-ever, season-long multi-sport professional tour in action sports, today announced its music lineup for the Panasonic Open in Louisville, Kentucky. The music stage schedule includes multi-platinum recording artist The Offspring, Crossfade, and opening acts Acceptance and The Exies.
