It's "Kentucky Week" at the World Expo in Japan.

A Kentucky delegation, including Governor Ernie Fletcher and University of Kentucky President Lee Too, is in the Land of the Rising Sun to highlight the economic partnership between Japan and the Commonwealth.

Dr. Todd says although some companies are quick to come to Kentucky for cheap land, cheap labor, and tax exemptions - they sometimes leave after a few years when another state offers the same incentives. He says they want to show that the Commonwealth can help manufacturers in an effort to keep companies here longer.

On Tuesday, U-K is hosting a luncheon at the expo to discuss how the university partners with companies like Toyota.
