The Younger Woman’s Club (YWC) of Louisville’s annual “Fall Into Fabulous” fashion show will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 starting at 6:30 pm at the Mellwood Arts Center.
2010 was a record year of fundraising for the “Fall Into Fabulous” event. In total, the YWC charity campaign raised over $90,000 funding 25 diverse, charitable organizations in Louisville, Kentucky such as the Center for Women and Families, Sister Visitor Center, the “Make a Wish” Foundation, and Louisville Zoological Gardens.
According to fashion show committee co-chair, Jennifer Reece, “We’re so excited this year to make Fall even more fabulous! During the cocktail hour of the event, our guests will be able to shop with 15 local vendors such as Work the Metal, Luna Boutique and Skyn Lounge. We are also delighted to add partnerships with Gigi’s Cupcakes, Cupcake Wine and BBC, as well as our friends Rooibee Red Tea and PAMA”.
The show will showcase fashions from local boutiques such as Peacock, Clodhoppers, The Dressing Room, Blink, Circe, Peppermint Palm, Ribbons and Rags, Elizabeth’s Timeless Attire and national retailer, Dillards.
Since the YWC was founded in 1921, the club has given over $3.4 million to charities. Each year 100% of the money raised through our charity campaign funds grant requests of local agencies. YWC is currently accepting application requests from local charitable organizations seeking grant funding.
The Emcees of the evening will be Angie Fenton of the Voice Tribune and Co-Chairs of the event, Jennifer Reece and Jessica Moore.
