A reserved family in a house of the crazy Martin Vanderhof leads to the comedy You Can't Take It With You, which will be performed at Assumption High School this weekend and next.
You Can't Take It With You, to be performed by Assumption's Rose Theatre group, will take place at Assumption High School, located at 2170 Tyler Lane in the Highlands. Performances will take place on April 18 and 25 at 1 p.m. each day. Evening performances will take place on April 22, 23, and 24 at 7 p.m. each night.

Performances of You Can't Take It With You will feature an eccentric family and a love story between Tony and Alice. Tony's more conservative parents come to visit, a day earlier than anticipated, and are taken aback by what they see. Tony and Alice's blossoming romance takes a hit as a result.
You Can't Take It With You was created by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman. The show ran for at least 800 performances on Broadway in the 1930s and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1937. The show was revived on Broadway multiple times and was even turned into an Academy Award winning film.
