Whisky Chicks Go Red, Take Two

February was National Heart Health Month.  Unfortunately, most of Kentucky was under nearly a foot of snow for much of the month, at times reaching temperatures below zero.  There were lots of closures and cancelations, and among winter’s collateral damage was the Whisky Chicks Go Red event at Saints.  Now it has been rescheduled during (hopefully) much nicer weather with the same purpose: to raise awareness and money for heart health.

According to the events page, “The Whisky Chicks are joining the Libations Society of Louisville to host an event for the American Heart Association's "Go Red For Women Campaign."

Saints Pizza and Pub is donating their space upstairs known as the Skybar while Redemption Rye's Joe Riggs is hosting a very special tasting equipped with a tutorial on how to make the perfect Redemption cocktail.

We ask that everyone please wear red to showcase the American Heart Association's Go Red Campaign for Women and to please bring $10 in cash as a donation.”

Proceeds from this event will benefit The American Heart Association.  Not only will you have the opportunity to get to know the Whisky Chicks, but you’ll also have the opportunity to learn how to make cocktails.  Hanging out with the Whisky Chicks is always a good time.  The organization was founded on the idea that women should be able to get together and meet new people over a mutual love of whisky, and there’s nothing better for your heart health than fun and friendship.  Click here for more information on this event.
