April 3, 2014 (Louisville, KY) – Local venue Play Dance Bar is proud to announce their first annual Whipped At Derby party kicking off Derby Eve with special guest and performer-the one and only Boy George.
Boy George is universally recognized as one of the music scene’s most iconic artists and for the past 30 years has maintained a strong position at the forefront of this ever-changing, multi-faceted industry. With an ever-expanding and prolific musical output, his presence as a DJ and producer continues to attract high praise from the scene’s most revered tastemakers and media outlets. From selling over 100 million singles and 50 million albums as a performer and songwriter with 80’s super group Culture Club and as a solo artist to maintaining his position as one of the world’s most successful and in-demand international DJs, George’s list of achievements is unparalleled.

Their sister club in Nashville has hosted many national acts along with becoming a celebrity hot spot. Play Nashville was also voted “Best Place to Dance” from 2005-2013. Whipped At Derby will be open to the public with presale and VIP tickets available.

Entertainment Schedule
- Wednesday April 30: Hard Candy with special Guest Cazwell
- Thursday May 1: Grammy nominated Dave Aude will perform from 12-3 a.m. with opening act DJ Fierce Tease. Aude is one of today’s top producers and DJs, with 94 Billboard #1s and counting (Cover is $10).
- Friday May 2: Doors open at 8 pm and close at 6 am
- Boy George will take the stage at 1:00 a.m. following two opening acts
