Bourbon Women at Evan Williams Bourbon Experience
Bourbon Women will host its first event of the year at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience on Louisville’s historic Whiskey Row. There will be a Roaring 20′s theme with speakeasy flair. Guests will receive a secret pass to enter the event. There will be a bourbon tasting and an opportunity to meet with Evan Williams’ artisanal distiller Charlie Downs. The Color Purple at the Jewish Community Center

Pearls & Pumps at the Olmstead
Walking the runway at The Olmsted will be local models showing off the latest from Louisville-area boutiques like Serendipity, Clodhoppers, Rodeo Drive, Merci Boutique, Monkee’s of Louisville and JB & Me, along with The Carlisle Collection and Von Maur. This first fashion show of the season will include looks for a Derby Day brunch, going to the track, your neighborhood barbeque and a night out on the town. While checking out spring styles, participants can nosh on hors d’oeuvres and sip mimosas. You can also take a chance at winning a great prize, such as a trip to Orlando; a private home for a week in Winter Park, Colo.; bourbon and restaurant packages and spa package including services by Corbett Cosmetic Surgery, manicure/pedicure, and more. Best Buddies Kentucky Friendship Walk at Seneca Park
The Friendship Walk is the latest and greatest life-changing movement created by Best Buddies. Since 2009, more than 40,000 participants have walked in over 22 states, and raised over 3 million dollars for Best Buddies. Ultimately, the Friendship Walk changes lives, as participants walk for inclusion, friendship, leadership, and opportunity for people with and without Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Every Friendship Walk promotes an atmosphere for new friendships, promising opportunities, and most of all, inclusion for all people. Walk for inclusion. Walk for friendship. Walk for a better community. Proceeds from the walk play a fundamental part in funding their state programs, which provide one-to-one friendships, leadership development and integrated job opportunities for individuals with IDD. Louisville Ballet School 2014 Spring Showcase
The Spring Showcase is a main stage feature performance created especially for the students of the Louisville Ballet School. Performers discover the art of storytelling through dance while sharing in the traditions of the full-length classical ballets. As an important aspect of the training offered at the Louisville Ballet School, all Beginning through Advanced level and Youth Open Division students are invited participate in the annual Spring Showcase. Showcase dancers attend regular rehearsals in addition to his/her regular classes. The performance of Alice in Wonderland and Fresh Picked will feature both classical and contemporary choreography. From classical ballet repertoire to world premiere ballets choreographed by Louisville Ballet Company dancers and Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble members, this program serves to enrich the artistic growth of each young dancer as well as delight audiences.
