
WorldFest 2016
WorldFest, one of the region’s largest international festivals, celebrates its 14th anniversary with four days of expanded world food, music, dance, culture and education this Labor Day weekend.
"Cities that embrace and encourage their international citizens and cultures will thrive, have a stronger quality of life and will attract new growth and jobs,” Mayor Greg Fischer said. 'WorldFest is a great event for exploring and celebrating Louisville’s many faces and cultures and we always look to make it more vibrant, diverse and educational. So, it’s exciting to add many new features and attractions for the 14th Annual WorldFest.”

PRFBBQ Rock and Roll Rager
The PRFBBQ is happening this week in Louisville! It will take place over four days, from September 1-4, at three different venues with over 60 bands. On Friday, it's the Rock and Roll Rager at Mag Bar! Get ready for a non-stop rush of intense and in-your-face noise rock, sludge, stoner rock and thrash punk from all over the mid-west. Who Me? Fresh Art by Tad DeSanto Opening Reception at Craft[s] Gallery
Join us this weekend for the opening reception for a new exhibit at Craft[s] Gallery, Who Me? Fresh Art by Tad DeSanto. DeSanto uses oil sticks and his fingers to paint on wood or Masonite, often including a variety of other materials. HIs work has been received with enthusiasm and is open to an array of interpretations. His work will be on display from September 2-29.

Days of the Dead
This gothic by-the-fans, for-the-fans convention is coming to Louisville! Days of the Dead rejects the idea of an impersonal, autograph-fueled convention and instead invites like-minded friends and fans to this welcoming 'social gathering.' Full of special events, horror-themed parties and several of the hottest celebrity guests and artists, Days of the Dead promises to be the gothic horror convention you've always wanted.

JD Shelburne Plays at Baxter's 942
One of our most talented local musicians is playing at Baxter's! Andy Woodhull at Comedy Caravan

DeaFestival 2016
DeaFestival is the state’s only day-long celebration of deaf and hard of hearing art, language and culture. More than 50 visual and performing artists will combine to make DeaFestival 2016 a community, family-friendly day to remember. “You’ve Always Had the Power Within You” is the theme of the 12th biennial Festival, hosted by the Knowledge Center on Deafness and the Kentucky Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the past 20 years. The theme will be woven through the three performance programs beginning with the Children’s Program, featuring interactive storytelling, followed by Spotlights, a showcase for theatrical performers, dancers and comedians. Jam Tent will round out the day with the top deaf and hard of hearing hip hop and rock ‘n’ roll musicians in the nation.

Actors Theatre Presents The 39 Steps
