    The ghouls and goblins will be out in full force, and Lord help us all, Halloween is on a Saturday night this year. Here’s a handy-dandy list of where to go and what to do this Halloween in Louisville!
     
     
    Monster Mash Bash Benefit
    Lydia House will be hosting a fundraiser for Three Points and will have spooky tunes from DJ Boogieman, ghastly games (including haunted putt-putt) and "finger foods" for you and all your fiendish friends. Come for the "boos" - Falls City Beer will be the spooktacular special all night long, as well as a special witches' brew on tap. A costume contest will happen at 10 p.m. The winner will receive a prize package that includes a gift card to Lydia House, a Three Points tee and more! Come without a costume if you dare... this event will also mark the unveiling the preliminary design Lydia House's next mural. This is a free event for all ages, but you must be 21+ to drink. Sorry, boys and ghouls.

    Jack-Glow-Lantern Fall Festival
    Community Fall Festival will be great fun for the whole family with games, a pumpkin carving contest and more!

    Annual Trunk or Treat at Hope Lutheran

    Creative Reuse Halloween Costume Contest and Party
    Can you create a costume out of recyclables, funky items and widgets? Of course you can! Good Garbage is looking for the best creative reuse costume in Louisville! Contest starts at 7 p.m. All ages welcome! There will be fun games and prizes!

    The Louisville Roasts Presents: The Halloween Squares
    Come celebrate Halloween weekend with the Louisville Roasters as they put on a very spooky, comedy game show (in the style of Hollywood Squares) with some of your favorite monsters!

    WhoDunnit Fundraiser: "Haunted Mansion: The Ghost Hunter's Curse"
    THIS IS NOT JUST YOUR AVERAGE HAUNTED HOUSE. It includes a mystery to solve! Search for clues. Ask questions of the ghosts and learn their dark secrets. Then put the pieces together to solve the mystery! The story: A ghost hunter has come to investigate tales of paranormal phenomena at the mansion.

    Halloween at Point Blank
    Get in the Halloween mood and dress up in your favorite costume and join Point Blank for two nights of live entertainment, great food and drink specials at Point Blank Brewing Company. On Friday the enjoy an evening of live music with Petar Mandic and on Saturday enjoy an evening of great music with The Salty Dawgs.

    Rocky Horror Halloween Party
    For one night only, Acting Against Cancer is bringing back a concert version of last year's wildly sexy "The Rocky Horror Show." This year's Rocky Horror Halloween party will take place in the C. Douglas Ramey Amphitheatre in Louisville's Central Park and is completely free. The abridged production will feature all the favorite songs from the real show complete with dazzling costumes, wicked makeup and enough glam for 1975 to eat its heart out. The show begins at 10 p.m., and costumes and audience partipation are strongly encouraged. The cast features Karter Louis returning as Frank-n-Furter along with Charlie Meredith and Lauren McCombs as Brad and Janet, joined by Sydney Magers, Remy Sisk, Molly Kays, Kyle Braun, Michael Detmer, Sara Troxel, Karissa Singleton and more!

    Noogiefest!
    Junior League of Louisville are hosts to this annual Halloween-themed event at Gilda's Club Louisville for youth connected to cancer. The entire clubhouse is transformed into party central, including games, face-painting, fun activities, trick-or-treating and more!

    Halloween Pub Crawl
    Come out to St. Matthews to enjoy Halloween the right way! Compete in games with your team (minimum six people per team!), enjoy drinks and win prizes! Starting at the Tin Roof, this pub crawl will go to Molly Malones, Diamond's Gerstle's Place and back to the Tin Roof. There will be $2 Bud Lights, $8 Bud Light pitchers and free BUD LIGHT at the last stop! This event is 21+

    Kosair Children's Hospital Halloween Safety Kickoff
    Dress up, have fun and be safe this Halloween! Join Kosair Children’s Hospital and Safe Kids Louisville for the 2015 Halloween Safety Kickoff. Young ghosts and goblins will receive reflective wear for their costumes, complimentary face painting and more. Parents will receive information on how to keep trick or treaters safe, healthy and happy. Throw on your costume and join us as we get ready to kick-off a fun night!

    A Wes Craven Halloween
    The Louisville Palace presents a Wes Craven Halloween, featuring the 1984 original "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and the 1996 original "Scream" on Halloween night. These two classic horrors revolutionized slasher movies and have haunted your nightmares since their debut. See them again on the big screen in The Louisville Palace.

    8UP Presents: All Hallows' Eve Mad Masquerade
    This #hangup Halloween bash's cover charge includes a complimentary open bar from 8 - 9 p.m. (featuring signature cocktails, select spirits, beer and wine), complimentary passed appetizers, the sounds of Louisville DJ Alex Bell on the rooftop and entry into a Mad Masquerade costume contest with $1,000 in cash prizes, beginning at 11 p.m. The dining room at 8UP will remain open for dinner service.     LOxAFT12 Halloween Pop-Up Dinner
    On Halloween, LocalsOnly and After Midnight chefs will be collaborating on a pop-up dinner in Over the 9's upstairs event space. The cost of entry includes a seasonally-inspired meal featuring creatively crafted and executed courses like parsnip and lobster bisque with smoked Asian pear mousse. Drink pairings, provided by Dante Wheat of LocalsOnly and Jeremy Johnson of Meta, will cost an additional $25. Dinner attendees will also receive free entry to an Halloween after-party.

    The New Vintage's Halloween Costume Party!
    This year at the New Vintage's killer Halloween party enjoy a free costume party, djs, performances from Searcy Bloody Sabbath: Black Sabbath, a haunted beer garden, a costume contest with prizes - including brunch at Louisville's top restaurants, bourbon and a pair of ticket to EVERY SHOW in November at The New Vintage! This event is 21+

    Haymarket's Free Halloween Double Feature
    Haymarket loves Halloween, and they're bringing a real barn-burner this year with two Louisville bands! White Reaper, winner of two Louisville Music Awards, will costume up and ride the grooves of the '70s. The Pass, the city's favorite slick synth-pop quartet, bring the party and a full audio-visual experience with a smattering of fine '80s ragers. Thanks to Michter's Whiskey, expect killer cocktails and drink specials. Entry to the bar is completely free!

    Hellhouse Halloween Party
    Hellhouse is back this year and will be featuring the one and only Mix Master Mike from the Beastie Boys. This world champion turntablist will keep the dance party jumping into the night in funds for the MS Society! All proceeds will go to the National MS Society - Kentucky and Southeast Indiana chapter. New location, same great party. Hellhouse 2015 will be held under the 2nd St Bridge next to the Yum! Center.

    Halloween Family Fun Fest
    This family-friendly Halloween-themed event is one that is taking this area by storm. Not only is it a fun time, but it also goes to help the Crusade for Children. The entire day will have filled with activities for everyone to enjoy. There will be food, door prizes, Balloons, photos, music and more. Don't forget to visit all the booths inside the Derby Park Flea Market for trick-or-treating that day. Then at the end of the Children's Costume Contest, we will move over to the 7th Street Haunt for even more trick-or-treating fun with the haunted house itself!

    Boo Dell at Yew Dell
    This seasonal event is a frightfully-fun day and a family favorite! Kids of all ages can enjoy trick-or-treating along the Trail-o-Treats (11 a.m. - 2 p.m). Dozens of local businesses will entertain with their creatively creepy booths and costumes. Hay rides, a straw-maze, scavenger hunts and the popular Mr. Magic (2 p.m. - 3 p.m.) round out a day of fun for all. This event draws a large crowd, so come easy for easy parking and to get in on all the goodies.

    Louisville Orchestra's Halloween Spooktacular
    Calling all ghosts and goblins!  Principal Pops Conductor Bob Bernhardt and the Louisville Orchestra will perform Halloween musical tricks and treats for all boys and girls.  Enjoy festive fall holiday crafts before the concert with spooky stories from the Louisville Free Public Library, and our Instrument Playground.

    Halloween Absinthe Party at Garage Bar
    The season of spookiness has arrived. In partnership with Copper & Kings, Garage Bar is throwing a bash dedicated to everyone’s favorite bohemian libation. Dance the night away with DJ See Tai and Black Matter, and sip on the beverage of the night at the absinthe bar or enjoy Garage Bar's chilling Corpse Reviver punch. They're also holding two costume contests, one for best overall costume, and one for best rendition of the Green Fairy, so come dressed in your best Halloween attire. Event is 21+.

    Bella Muerte: A Halloween Masquerade Ball
    Bella Muerte will be an unforgettable and decadent night filled with opulent costumes, lush music, theatrics and more! This year, The Event Company is transforming Tim Faulkner Gallery's event space into a haunted ship, lost at sea! The killer live music lineup includes Tiger Nite, Nellie Pearl and Sidewalk Chalk.     The best ‪party in ‪‎Louisville will be ‎Halloween at ‪PLAY. This years's theme is "Child's Play", but cover the kids' eyes, this is scary stuff. ‪‎FUN will be had by all. Play mate shows at 10 p.m., midnight and 2 a.m. DJ Sleepy T will rock the dance floor until close. There will be a costume contest with $5,000 in cash and prizes: categories include, "Scariest Doll", "Best Drag" & "Best Overall."

    The day after Halloween, embrace the previous night's bacchanalia and wear your costume to brunch at Garage Bar. Disheveled princesses, smeared zombies and ripped masks are welcomed at this no-judgment bash. Attendees are welcomes to come in half costumes. Oyster shooters, Bloody Marys and Corpse Reviver cocktails will be on special. Plus, Garage is giving out a prize for the best "un-costumed" attendee.
