It’s beginning to look a lot like…Forecastle. It’s that time of year. Soon, our fine city will be rushed by hipsters, hippies, and music lovers galore. One of the best festivals in the country will bring in national acts and a lot of money for the downtown area. Here are the essentials for Forecastle:

Tickets
Weekend passes are currently being sold at $184.50 and VIP passes are $399.50. Single-day tickets, if you are buying for Friday or Saturday, are $84.50, but if you buy a Sunday ticket, it’s ten dollars cheaper. VIP tickets for Saturday are sold out, but they are still available for Friday and Sunday at $199.50.
Official Forecastle late night show tickets are a separate cost apart from the festival. St. Paul & The Broken Bones show at Headliners Friday is $20. Mimosa’s show on the Belle of Louisville Friday is $19. The 23 String Band, Matrimony, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors show at Headliners is $15. Moon Taxi’s show at Mercury Ballroom on Saturday is $25.

Bourbon Lodge
For the second year, Forecastle is partnering with the Kentucky Bourbon Trail for an immersive experience with bourbon activities, culinary experiences, and band/audience interaction. Members of Spoon will hand-select a barrel from Four Roses Bourbon, JJ Grey & Mofro from Heaven Hill, and Spanish Gold from Woodford Reserve. They will be presenting an exclusive culinary experience from some of Louisville’s top restaurant
chefs and creators: Adam Burress and Chase Mucerino of Hammerheads, Game, and new favorite Loop 22. They’ll bring their expertise to an exclusive, pop-up restaurant within the Lodge. Bourbon selections come from Four Roses, Heaven Hill, Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Michter’s, Town Branch, Wild Turkey, and Woodford Reserve.
Activites at this year’s Bourbon Lodge will be very impressive. There will be fireside chats with master distillers and bourbon experts. Band members like Patrick Hallahan of Spanish Gold will be doing some celebrity bartending. There are also activities regarding cooking with bourbon, the history of bourbon, the barreling process, and the Kentucky bourbon trail.
Tickets: Option 1--$10 will get you 10 tickets. Each ticket is worth $1.00 and can get you food and drink in the Bourbon Lodge. You must have a minimum of 10 tickets to reenter the Bourbon Lodge. Option 2--$20 will get you 10 tickets. Each ticket is worth $1.00 and can get you food and drink in the Bourbon Lodge. You will also get commemorative Bourbon Lodge double walled, steel mug from Eco Vessel. The steel mug allows re-entry with or without tickets.
Kentucky Landing
The debut of the Kentucky Landing pays homage to our great Commonwealth. Forecastle will have a variety of craft beer breweries pouring samples of their Kentucky-based creations, while local food trucks from all over the bluegrass state will be dishing out local cuisine. In addition, a select group of non-profit organizations and craft vendors will be on-hand selling their Kentucky-made goods.
The Landing will also feature an exhibit by Dare to Care, a local nonprofit agency working to feed the hungry and conquer the cycle of need.
Local brews will come from Against The Grain, Bluegrass Brewing Company, Fall City Beer, Kentucky Ale, and West Sixth Brewing Company. The local food trucks at the festival will be Grind Gourmet Burger Truck, Holy Molé Taco Truck, Longshot Lobsta, Red’s Corner, and Xtreme Southern Kitchen.
Amenities
Personal storage lockers: When you reserve a locker online, you will receive an email 24 hours before the fest containing your locker location, locker number, and lock combination so you can simply find and use your locker without limitation.
Complimentary bike valet
Ecovessel hydration stations: Two conveniently located Eco Vessel Hydration Stations will provide fresh, filtered water on site to all patrons, free of charge. Just bring an empty, refillable bottle of your own or snag a limited edition Forecastle Festival Eco Vessel bottle at the merch stand.
Sober sailing: Sober sailing is a group of passionate music fans who choose to remain drug and alcohol free at the festival. The group will host formal meetings twice daily Friday-Sunday, at their booth (times TBA closer to the festival)
