The first thing you need to do when you get to Forecastle is locate the WFPK stage and watch our very own 1200 open the festival. When Louisville natives get on stage, they always deliver a great show — maybe we’ll even see a special guest or two.

Other acts we’ll be heading out to see? Grouplove, Glass Animals, Bully, Moon Taxi and the day’s headliner, The Avett Brothers.

If the forecast is true, we’ll be escaping some showers around 4 p.m. The Bourbon Lodge sounds like a great place to get out of the rain and into the air conditioning. Grab a glass of Bulleit (their new barrel strength is particularly memorable) and stick around for Billy Goat Strut Revue. Don't have a pass to the Bourbon Lodge? The Gonzo Bar offers some coverage and hopefully the return of Hunter S. Thompson.

Food options include a lot of locals. We’ll be getting a lobster roll with Longshot Lobsta and buying all of the popsicles that Tasty Tuxedo will sell to us.

If you're coming back on Saturday, take today to really identify any clothing, food or other mistakes you made today so that you don't ruin your entire weekend by making dumb choices in the name of fashion or whatever.
