It is a busy weekend for Louisville as Thanksgiving approaches and Black Friday is nearly underway. Many Louisville locations are participating in the madness of the shopping craze after indulging in turkey and stuffing. Many stores will be opening as early as 6 p.m. Thanksgiving day, with other locations at 8 p.m. or midnight.

1. Catch the Frankfort Avenue Trolley on F.A.T Friday Holiday Hop

What better way to enjoy the day after Thanksgiving than to be escorted around Louisville’s most scenic area while grabbing lunch, coffee, and the best deals! There is fabulous shopping, dining, free parking and the trolley runs from 11 am- 10:30 pm. There will be special offers, live music, and refreshments. 2. Light Up Louisville and 40 Nights of Lights

Bring the family and join Santa Claus in his arrival as he illuminates downtown Louisville on November 29^th with a parade at 6:30 p.m. This is Light Up Louisville’s 33^rd year of this annual celebration with the addition of the 40 Nights of Lights component. 40 Nights of Lights will feature a nightly light show set to music on 4^th Street. This will create a four-block festival that will light up Louisville between the Galt House and Fourth Street Live. 3. Visit Holidays Around the World

Visit the Frazier Art Museum in their fourth annual Holidays Around the World exhibit beginning on November 29^tt. This exhibit is a perfect depiction of the culturally rich diversity of Louisville, each display being created by local residents, because who better to illustrate these showcases than people from our community? After the hustle and bustle of traveling and shopping in the cold weather, step inside Frazier Art Museum to enjoy the beautiful experience and display of trees and lights from the represented countries. 4. Louisville Orchestra Holiday Spectacular

What better way to end the month of November than by spending the evening listening to your favorite songs and carols being played by the Louisville orchestra! This is a family-friendly event with an audience sing-along and an appearance by Santa. 5. HolidayFest and JingleWalk

Develop New Albany is hosting their Annual JingleWalk and HolidayFest in Downtown New Albany on November 30^th. Beginning at 1 p.m. participants can enjoy the weather while sampling wine from local wineries and visit the stores, boutiques, museums, and art galleries. At 2 p.m. HolidayFest will kick off will family friendly activities for all ages, including: crafts, face painting, and ornament making. This event will be concluded by Light Up New Albany with the arrival of Santa Claus and the lighting of the Downtown Christmas Tree. Come out and celebrate New Albany’s growing downtown district!
