We see you appreciate a good vintage. But there comes a time to try something new. Click here to head over to the redesigned Louisville.com. It's where you'll find all of our latest work. And plenty of the good ol' stuff, too, looking better than ever.

    Bit to Do

Take a trip across the River this weekend and spend Saturday afternoon, September 5, in Downtown New Albany for Underground Station’s Courtyard Cookout. Already live on the Indiana side? Well, then you’re already on the right side! Afraid of all that traffic on the Kennedy Bridge? Don’t worry — it’s smooth sailing across the Sherman Minton.

Head on over and spend a few hours getting to know several of the new, locally independent businesses. You’ll be able to chat with the owners and discover some of the changes that are coming to Downtown New Albany — like the move and expansion of New Albany’s Bread and Breakfast from their current location on Main St. to Underground Station.

The Courtyard Cookout runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and there will be plenty of free food and drinks. Businesses in the courtyard will have Labor Day specials and select free services, but they’re not saying what kind of specials — you’ll have to show up and find out for yourself. There’ll also be an assortment of antiques and treasures to peruse. Who knows, maybe you’ll find that perfect piece to add to your collection.

The Underground Station in Downtown New Albany — right by the riverfront — is the newest edition to an already vibrant downtown area full of eclectic shopping, local craft beer and coffee, mouth-watering food and relaxing scenery. It’s sure to be one more gem in a mine that’s recently found new life. As Reecee from Underground Classic Cuts puts it, “Stay classy, New Albany.”

The Courtyard Cookout is sponsored by Underground Classic Cuts, an upscale, old school barbershop located in the courtyard, and Carter Management Company.
