We survived the apocalypse so get ready to ring in 2013 with WFPK 91.9's Annual New Year's Eve Bash and Broadcast! The party is on New Year's Eve, December 31st, at 9 p.m. with doors open at 8 p.m. at Headliners Music Hall. The evening will be full of great music, dancing, picture taking, a balloon drop, and New Year's cheer. Last year tickets sold out, so if you don't have your tickets yet I would suggest getting them now or in person at Louisville Public Media located at 619 South Fourth Street. Tickets are a steal at $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Other similar parties can cost anywhere from $14 to $160 a person. For ticket information call (502)814-6500. This is an 18 and over event.

    The schedule of events:

8:00pm – Free dance lesson from the Louisville Swing Dance Society
9:00pm – Broadcast begins with WFPK’s Woodrow on the Radio and DJ Matt Anthony
10:30pm – The Ladybirds with a special premiere of their new video “She’s Alright” before their set.
Midnight – Balloon Drop and DJ's second set.

The Ladybirds is a fun five piece rockabilly dance band whose sound is influenced by music from 1954-1973. If you like The Sonics, Wanda Jackson, The Shangri-las, The New York Dolls, The Beach Boys, The Flamin Groovies, The Ventures, Joe Meek, and/or Phil Spector you will love The Ladybirds.

There will be a photo booth available throughout the night for your photo taking needs. Take all the photo mementos you want because they are free with admission.

If you haven't already make sure you vote in WFPK's Best of 2012 Survey.
