This Thursday, Volunteers of America of Kentucky and SoFo Louisville will celebrate the grand opening of the non-profit organization’s new headquarters inside the Guthrie Coke Building on the corner of South Fourth and Chestnut streets.

Starting at 10 a.m. and running through 2 p.m., Volunteers of America of Kentucky will host a street fair, featuring tours of the new facility, food trucks, and a live broadcast by WFPK-FM of a performance by singer-songwriter John Gage. There will also be a press conference during the event held by the non-profit.

Alongside the street fair, the shops along South Fourth Street between the Seelbach and the Brown hotels will host their first-ever summer sidewalk and closeout sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Goods such as handmade soaps, seasonal clothing, gifts, art, chocolate and more will be offered at discounted prices throughout the day, even when the VoA street party comes to a close Thursday afternoon.
