Join The Voice-Tribune for our Breeders’ Cup Fascinator & Fedora contest tonight at Churchill Downs. The fashion contest will reward two race fans with $5,000 each; one wearing a fascinator and one wearing a fedora. All attendees are invited to participate. The contest takes place in the Aristides Garden located in the paddock area at Churchill Downs.

The contest will take place between Race 5 which has a 4:10 p.m. post time and Race 7 which has a post time of 5:30 p.m. After Race 7 the top five fascinators and top five fedoras will be called back for final judging. The winners will be announced by Race 8 at the post time of 6:10 p.m.

Fascinators and fedoras will surely be the highlight of all fashion talk from this weekend. Be sure to support local businesses and shop local for all your Breeders Cup attire. Jana Metcalfe of Jana’s Hat Box is one of the designers who were so kind enough to send me some pictures of her fascinators. Jana’s fascinators can be found at Clod Hoppers, Les Filles Boutique and Barry Wooley Designs Showroom.

    About Bella Portaro

Happiness Cultivator. Blogger. Writer. Social Media and PR Maven. Dreamer. Louisville Lover. Blogger at Bella of Louisville; a lifestyle blog. A lifestyle is- by definition to me - the way in which one chooses to live their life. As I’ve entered into this chapter / book of my life with a strong understanding of who I am, lifestyle has become about the art of living well. This idea goes beyond creating a beautiful home and investing in my wardrobe. Living well means being kind, being good company, contributing to your community, and becoming a person of substance and grace. If designing a life full of substance and grace isn’t aspirational, I don’t know what else is. I love writing about events and things to do in Louisville. I hope you enjoy my posts and connect with me on social media!
