Tickets for the Kentucky Derby Festival’s 2012 Spring Fashion Show presented by American Founder Bank went on sale this past Friday, February 10, 2012. The show will be held on Thursday, March 29, in the Showroom of Horseshoe Southern Indiana and starts with cocktails and boutique shopping at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. and runway show at 8:00 p.m. The Festival also has a special deal just in time for Valentine’s Day – guests can get $10 off the purchase of two tickets online at www.kdf.org (when purchased before 2/14).

Christina Fellingham, Editor-in-chief of Her Scene and Director of Women’s Audience at The Courier-Journal, is helping style the show this year. The event is themed “Lights, Cameras, Fashion!” and guests can expect a night of fun and high fashion.

This year’s fashion show will feature outfits and accessories by: Dillard’s, Olivia & Co., Crush, GUESS, Fashion Bug, Rodeo Drive, Apricot Lane, Dress & Dwell and more. Some of the Festival’s Official Products will also be featured, including hats by Dillard’s, handbags and accessories by Divas, designer eyewear from The Eye Care Institute, and hair and makeup by Lyndia Willis Salon. Official 2012 Derby Festival merchandise will be on sale at the event.

Tickets for the show can be purchased by calling (502) 584-FEST or purchase online at www.kdf.org. Reserved seating tickets are $590 for a table of 10 and $59 individually. Tickets for the “Lounge” area (general admission seating in 2nd floor lounge area) are $35.

First produced in 1990, the Kentucky Derby Festival Fashion Show was originally conceived as a venue for unveiling the new Board of Director’s uniform, the teal Pegasus jacket. It was so successful, the Board of Directors decided to make it a permanent addition to the Festival schedule. Thanks to the support of many retailers, the Spring Fashion Show has become THE fashion show for the season.

American Founders Bank returns as presenting sponsor for the annual fashion show.  HorseshoeSouthern Indiana and 102.3 The Max return as contributing sponsors, joining newcomer, Apassionata.

Since 1956, the Derby Festival has worked to bring the community together in celebration. The Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation.  It entertains more than 1.5 million people in a two- week period and has a local economic impact of more than $127 million.  This involvement has made the Festival the largest single attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.

    About Bella Portaro

Happiness Cultivator. Blogger. Writer. Social Media and PR Maven. Dreamer. Louisville Lover. Blogger at Bella of Louisville; a lifestyle blog. A lifestyle is- by definition to me - the way in which one chooses to live their life. As I’ve entered into this chapter / book of my life with a strong understanding of who I am, lifestyle has become about the art of living well. This idea goes beyond creating a beautiful home and investing in my wardrobe. Living well means being kind, being good company, contributing to your community, and becoming a person of substance and grace. If designing a life full of substance and grace isn’t aspirational, I don’t know what else is. I love writing about events and things to do in Louisville. I hope you enjoy my posts and connect with me on social media!
