On November 11, Louisville.com reported that Vietnam Kitchen was temporarily closed. As of November 22, Vietnam Kitchen has again opened its doors to the public!

Vietnam Kitchen is located in a strip mall at 5399 Mitscher Avenue. They are known for their large and authentic menu of Vietnamese specialties, included many vegetarian options. The also have an avocado milkshake, which is about twenty times as good as you're imagining. They also have incredibly good Vietnamese Coffee, sweet and strong.

The Louisville foodie community was saddened by the closure, though some mentioned the owners of Vietnam Kitchen have taken vacations before and briefly closed the doors of the restaurant. A call to the restaurant today, however, revealed that this closure was due to an illness in the family. Vietnam Kitchen is now open and ready for business! They will be closing at 5pm on Thanksgiving.

So show a little Thanksgiving spirit and take your dinner business to Vietnam Kitchen tonight to welcome them back.
