Five of Golf Digest's top 10 courses in Kentucky are right here in the immediate Louisville area:
Valhalla (1), Big Spring CC (2), The champion course at Hurstbourne CC (7), Louisville CC (8), and Persimmon Ridge (10). The other 5 courses are sprinkled around the state. Champion Trace GC in Nicholasville (3), The Club At Olde Stone in Alvaton (4), Olde Silo GC in Mt. Sterling (5), Eagle Ridge GC at Yatesville Lake in Louisa (6), and Dale Hollow State Park GC in Burkesville (9).

The Donald Ross course at French Lick and Belterra's golf course are 2 in Kentuckiana that made the list of Indian'a 15 best courses.
