In support of their 5th studio LP, "Hold My Home," Louisville is once again being graced by the presence of the Cold War Kids.  For almost 10 years, CWK has been a staple of audible goodness, even through some personnel changes and tweaks in their sound, as is to be expected most bands with any sort of longevity.

Over the past couple of years, two founding members, drummer Matt Aveiro and guitarist/pianist Jonnie Russell, left the band for various reasons.  Some CWK loyalists balked at the band's continuation, claiming that Johnnie and Matt were irreplaceable and the new sound just wasn’t "them." I can dig that observation, however the new sound still does it for me all around. Nathan Willet’s poignent voice still talks to me.  The overall sound is still singalong-worthy and some songs still resonate as well as "Hang Me Up to Dry."

Make up your own mind and come to the show tonight.  I’m willing to wager that you’ll be convinced.  I’ve been very fortunate to catch probably eight shows in those 10 years and I have yet to be disappointed.  CWK is capable of a spectacular performance.  From Creedence covers at Terminal 5, to rowdy hipster encores of "Saint John," they’re amazing quirky indie rock with a twist of ballads to make hearts melt.  Don’t expect a mosh pit, but do expect pure loving goodness.
