    There are several Kentucky Derby Festival activities this weekend in addition to the festival’s Opening Ceremonies: Thunder Over Louisville.

    They include:

    Saturday, April 16-Sunday, May 1
     
    DERBY FESTIVAL VOLLEYBALL CLASSIC

    Sand Divisions at Baxter Jacks
    April 16 and 17:  9 A.M. - 9 P.M. and April 30 and May 1: 9 A.M. - 9 P.M.

    Grass Divisions at Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront

    April 30 and May 1:  9 A.M. - 6 P.M.
     
    Saturday, April 16 – Sunday, April 17

     
    10:00 P.M. Saturday – Sunday Breakdown and clean-up from Thunder Over Louisville begins once the show ends and continues through the day on Sunday until complete.

    Sunday, April 17
     
    2 PM   Clark Memorial/2ndStreetBridge reopens
     
    Children's Tea with the Derby Festival Princesses.  1 PM-3 PM. 

    NEW LOCATION: The Seelbach, 500 Fourth Street. 

    SOLD OUT.

      Children ages 4 and up invited to meet the Kentucky Derby Festival Princesses.
