An annual holiday tradition has returned to the Louisville Zoo. The holiday experience, Santa's Safari, is back to entertain kids of all ages.
Somehow, Santa knows to make a stop at the Louisville Zoo. Perhaps he hears the kids calling him for a chance to whisper their wish lists to him. Maybe he hears the parents who want those cute pictures with the jolly old elf. Or maybe, just maybe, Rudolph has a connection with all the animals at the zoo and he just wants to make his rounds of hellos to his friends.
In any case, Santa is coming, so watch out, and be ready! Santa's Safari, presented by Kroger, is scheduled to bring joy and holiday cheer on the following weekends: December 8-9 and December 15-16, with session times at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm. Santa will be bringing along some of his North Pole friends, including Frosty the Snowman and Mrs. Claus. Activities abound at this special ticket event, including a Christmas sing-a-long, holiday crafts and refreshments, and of course the coveted photo with Santa Claus. Participants will also complete a safari passport in which they will move through the heated buildings at the zoo and interact with the animals up close and personal.
New this year will be a special holiday showing of The Polar Express 4-D Experience, included in your admission. Special tickets are required and are only available online. This is normally a sell-out event, so be sure to get your tickets early. The ticket is required for all attendees and includes all day admission to the zoo as well. Prices are as follows:
For guests ages 3 and older, tickets are $15.95 for Louisville Zoo members and $20.95 for non-members. For guests ages 3 and under, tickets are $8.50 for Louisville Zoo members and $11 for non-members.
