Starting this Saturday, November 17, at the Louisville Zoo, your family will be able to experience The Polar Express 4-D Experience at the Louisville Zoo.
Based on the popular holiday Warner Bros film and the beloved Caldecott Medal winning book, The Polar Express 4-D Experience is showing in the 50-seat, 4-D theater from November 17-January 6.
The film is powered by the use of SimEx-iwerks 4-D Special FX technology and the sensory effects are built not only into the seats but the entire theater to create a complete multi-sensory experience. For example, when the conductor sings “Hot Chocolate” and the dancing waiters begin to pour, the audience will smell the delightful aroma of every cocoa cup. When the Polar Express arrives at the North Pole, it actually begins to snow in the theater.
Yes, you read that right. It snows.
The 4-D Theater is open from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Individual 4-D Theater tickets will be $5 per person, $4 for Louisville Zoo Members and $3 for a second experience. 4-D Theater tickets can also be purchased as part of the Adventure Ticket which includes Zoo admission. This year’s Santa Safari presented by Kroger includes a ticket to The Polar Express™ 4-D Experience.
