    Derby Dinner prepares to go swimming in the form of The Dixie Swim Club, which will open tonight.

    All performances of The Dixie Swim Club will take place at the Derby Dinner Playhouse, located at 525 Marriott Drive in Clarksville, IN. Performances will take place between May 5 and July 3.

    Evening shows will have the buffet opening at 6 p.m. and the show beginning at 7:45 p.m. Doors and buffet will open at 11:45 a.m. for Sunday matinees with the show to follow at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday matinees, meanwhile, will have an 11:45 a.m. opening of the buffet as well as a 1 p.m. show.

    Ticket prices depend on the day of attendance. Shows on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings are $39, Friday evening shows are $40, and Saturday evening shows are $43 per person. Meanwhile, Sunday matinee shows are $35 per person and Wednesday matinee shows are $34 per person.

    The Dixie Swim Club will follow five women, former college swim team members turned friends. The friends meet at a cottage each year to renew their friendships and enjoy each other's company. Over the course of 33 years, the women talk with other to offer advice and discuss life's moments, including men, parenting, marriage, and divorce, among others. The production was created by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten.

    For the Derby Dinner run, the cast will include Janet Essenpreis as Sheree Hollinger, Rita Thomas as Dinah Grayson, Jill Kelly as Lexie Richards, Michelle Johnson as Jeri Neal McFeeley, and Tina Jo Wallace as Vernadette Simms. Bekki Jo Schneider directed The Dixie Swim Club.

    Derby Dinner will also present Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as part of its children's theatre series. Shows will take place mostly on Saturdays from May 29 until June 26. More information about either show can be found at the Derby Dinner Playhouse website.
