Benjy, Baldrick, and friends are needing their forever homes and await their future families at Louisville Metro Animal Services. Take a look at this week’s featured adorable pets and see if they are the ones to make your family complete.
Baldrick is a 3-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. That mix may include a bit of beagle, but Baldrick is definitely a hound. He is cute and calm but he does love to follow his nose when he's on a walk. He is a good walker and doesn't pull on the leash. Since he's a hound, he'll do best in a household with other dogs or a stay-at-home human because hounds are pack animals, not lone wolves. A volunteer described him as having "a super sweet face. He's a nice little guy." We agree. And while Metro cannot guarantee an animal is housebroken, Baldrick waited until he was outside to completely relieve himself, which is a good sign. Baldrick is up-to-date on routine shots, neutered, and most likely house trained. If you would like to contact Metro to ask about this dog, it is very helpful if you have the ID number (A470017) handy. Thanks.
Bailey is a 4-month-old Labrador Retriever/Rottweiler mix. She's just a pup, but she's very high energy. Bailey is ready to go. She's silly, excited and ready to play. She is good with her kennel mate, with strangers, new people, everyone! Bailey just wants to be included in the party and she's fine with starting the activities. Bailey is an exuberant young girl. Bailey is up-to-date on routine shots, spayed, with a short coat color of black and tan. If you would like to contact Metro to ask about this dog, it is very helpful if you have the ID number (A470772) handy. Thanks.
Benjy is a 7-year-old purebred Pomeranian. He is a friendly guy, older and low-key. He's past the puppy sillies but he still has years of companionship left to share with you. He's curious and alert to what's going on around him. He's good with children and he likes to be held. Benjy will be a great addition to the household looking for a staunch, lovable and loyal addition. Benjy is up-to-date on routine shots, neutered, and house trained with a white and tan coat. If you would like to contact Metro to ask about this dog, it is very helpful if you have the ID number (A471368) handy. Thanks.
Cleo is lovely and has oversized green-hazel eyes and will often use them to gaze at people adoringly. Very flattering. And she loves to be cuddled. She'll always be a tiny cat; she weighs 5 pounds now and is approximately 8 months old so is close to her adult size. And she is an adorably fluffy girl that dashes around the house playing so her foster mom sometimes calls her by her nickname, Squirt. Pretty and cuddly that she is, she is a spirited player and has lots of kitten energy, liking interactive games but also enjoying entertaining herself playing with toy mice. She came into foster care because she had a few minor injured places and needed some time to heal. There is a place on her forehead where fur is still growing out from one of those injured spots. But she is ready for her forever home now and we know she will adjust to a new home quickly since she did so well in foster care. She is up-to-date on routine shots, spayed, and is house trained. Cleo's Pet ID # is A456635 so if interested in her please have it ready.
"I'm Conner. I'm a volunteer favorite at PetSmart because I like to roll and get close when I'm petted so you get just the right spots! I'm an easy-going guy with few worries. I'm a larger cat but I'm not fat at all; I'm all muscle. But really I like to relax and hang out, watching what's going on and then play a while if a good game comes up. I'll make a low-key and affectionate friend if you give me a home. And I can find things you've lost behind the couch! Come meet me and I'll show you what a great guy I am. My Pet ID # is A449008." Conner is up-to-date on routine shots, neutered, and is house trained.
Denver is a buff and white short haired little male kitten. Denver is up-to-date on his routine shots, neutered, and house trained. If you are interested in this little guy please have his Pet ID A46 ready when contacting us.
