In this season of giving we hope there are those out there who will open their hearts and give this week’s featured adoptable pets at Louisville Metro Animal Services their forever homes.

Jazzy is a spayed 5 month old black Labrador Retriever mix puppy. Right now she is shy and fearful, not happy at the shelter. One day she will grow into her big cute feet. Given time her silly Lab personality will come out where she will be your best friend. Will you be the one to get her out of the shelter and home for the Holidays? If so please have her Pet ID # A474356 ready when contacting Louisville Metro Animal Services about her.

Meet Dallas. He is a 5 year old neutered Basset/Beagle mix. The Basset Hound in him makes him a very easy going guy. Dallas gets along with everybody, humans and other dogs alike, so having other dogs at home would be just fine with this guy. Basset Hound aficionados can appreciate those short little legs and that loooong body, and of course those long ears. If you think Dallas would make a fine addition to your family then please have his Pet ID # A480101 ready when contacting us.

Bryan is a small young puppy who is neutered. He is a Pit Bull mix who needs an understanding owner who will bring this young guy up correctly. If you adopt a dog with Pit Bull breeding from Metro Animal Services you can get free dog obedience courses from Slugger City Bully Buddies to ensure you dog is trained properly, too often this isn’t the case and the Pit Bull breed suffers from irresponsible dog management practices by their owners. If you think you are the right owner for little Bryan please have his Pet ID # A471994 ready when contacting Metro Animal Services about him.

Little 5 month old spayed Carmella is a very unusual brindle colored Beagle mix. She is a little beauty. This puppy isn’t liking shelter life at all and has been quite shy and fearful there. Who could blame her? She loves to be held though. She does well with other dogs at the shelter so if you already have another dog at home that is okay with her. If you think this little girl would be a great addition to your family then have her Pet ID # 478485 ready when contacting Metro Animal Services about her.

Diamond is a 9 month old spayed female Pit Bull Terrier. I LOVE to be able to break the unjust myth on Pit Bull Terriers because this big girl loves humans and other dogs a lot. She is a great girl and needs someone who can appreciate that. She has a very unusual coloring that is very pretty. She weighs in at a big 81 lbs but for the person who loves big friendly doggies she is it. Those looking for a big dog for status purposes need not apply, she is a very friendly dog and deserves better. All adopted Pit Bull or Pit Bull mixes are eligible for free obedience training courses at Slugger City Bully Buddies. If you want to give Miss Diamond her loving forever home please have her Pet ID # A476914 ready when contacting Metro Animal Services.

King is a beautiful well behaved neutered 1.5 year old fawn colored Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He loves the company of people as dogs of this breeding usually do. He has been kenneled by himself at the shelter so not sure how he handles being around other dogs. He remained quiet when out in the play yard on leash when other dogs came in, a good sign. King loves the company of his humans so if you do not have any other dogs at this point he would love to be your buddy and come home with you. Dogs with Pit Bull breeding adopted from the shelter are eligible for free dog obedience courses at Slugger City Bully Buddies. If you think you are the responsible dog owner that can give King his forever home so he doesn’t end up at the Shelter again please have his Pet ID # 477833 ready when contacting Metro Animal Services about him.

Here is little spayed 2 year old Kiki. Miss Kiki is a Poodle/Cairn Terrier mix. She is a go with the flow little girl. She tends to get picked on by her kennel mates so not the dominate sort. She is a vivacious little girl who likes to go on walks, harness is probably best because if she sees something interesting she can pull, so beware squirrels. If you think this sweet little girl would fit in with your family then have her Pet ID # A479876 ready when contacting Louisville Metro Animal Services about her.

Jimmy is an adult neutered male cat. Jimmy’s owner had to give him up so he has been very well socialized and loves human attention. He is an easy going guy looking for his forever home. He is a staff favorite. If you are looking for a well trained adult cat to hang out with then Jimmy is your guy. If you think Jimmy is your next buddy then have his Pet ID # 474915 when contacting Metro Animal Services. He represents the many adult cats and kittens now at the shelter needing homes.
