If one of your New Year's resolutions was to get more involved in your community and have some fun at the same time, you are in luck! There are a couple of great activities that are about to get underway where you can meet people and make new friends. If you are new to the area, or just looking for new activities, here are some offerings:

On Sunday, January 8th, VOICES of Kentuckiana will host the first week of this season's open enrollment. VOICES is a predominantly LGBT, but fully inclusive, non-auditioned chorus. The chorus rehearses every Sunday night, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Central Presbyterian Church. There is a $45 joining fee, $25 for attire, and a music deposit of $40, but these can be paid in installments. The spring concert is scheduled for April 28th and 29th at the Ursuline Performing Arts Center.

Monday, January 9th begins the spring session of the Bluegrass Classic Bowling League. The league is a part of the International Gay Bowling Organization, but all are welcome to join. It's a handicapped league, so you don't have to be good to have a good time. Bowling takes place on Monday nights at 8:00 PM at Kingpin Lanes in Jeffersontown, and four-person teams play three games per night. The spring session runs through April 16th. There is a joining fee of $17 for women and $21 for men, along with a weekly fee of $12.

Get out of the house and have the time of your life!
