The Squallis Puppeteers, a talented group of local artists, performers, and storytellers, have been entertaining throughout Louisville for 15 years. To help commemorate their milestone anniversary, Squallis is proud to present "Boo," on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27, at the OMOS gym on Eastern Parkway. The two-night, Halloween-inspired event is sure to offer a little something for both the young and the young at heart.
"Boo" will feature a puppet funhouse, live music from Supertruck (on Friday), Lady Pyamid, & Julie of the Wolves (on Saturday), food trucks, trick-or-treating, games, and, for the adults, local beer and wine (it tastes better when it's local, ya know).
"We owe our success to this creative and inspiring city and to the people who have supported us through all of Squallis' experiments and phases," a group representative said. The Squallis Puppeteers' mission is to use the art of puppetry to free imaginations, create fantastic characters, and tell the stories that are important to the Louisville community. That's a pretty admirable mission and one worth supporting, if you ask me.
Admission for adults is $10, kids under 12 is $5, and kids two an under get in for free. So, come out have a little Halloween fun with the family at "Boo." For more information, please visit www.squallispuppeteers.com or email squallispuppeteers@yahoo.com.
