As they leave for tour, Nick Dittmeier & the Sawdusters are giving Louisville a parting gift — the band's newest album, "Midwest Heart/Southern Blues" releases this Friday. The album found its inspiration while the band was touring - "[It's] a gritty, upbeat collection of songs, full of characters who were developed while staring over the dash of a beat up Ford van cruising through towns in the South and Midwest, whose better days are behind them," says the band.

Listen to a preview of the album below:

You can see Nick Dittmeier & The Sawdusters play in Louisville at Guestroom Records, Sunday, January 24 and again at Zanzabar with the Whiskey Bent Valley Boys on February 13.
