Nestled amongst the trees, tucked in quietly behind the Ohio River, sits the Clarksville Little Theatre. This Friday, that little theatre will bring the Stephen Sondheim classic Into the Woods onto the stage.
Prepositions aside, this inventive musical entwines several of Grimm’s fairy tales as the characters pursue happily ever after. Filled with songs sung by Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (with his beanstalk), Rapunzel and Cinderella, the story exposes the “hidden stories” behind the famous tales and seeks to tie them together in previously unknown ways.
Into the Woods opens the season for Clarksville Little Theatre, and runs September 9-11, and September 15-17. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors and $8 for children. They can be reserved by calling 812-283-6522.
