Taking a day away from historic Churchill Downs to do some chores and spend a little time with the family before a whilwind weekend, your intrepid reporter loaded up the minivan and ventured downtown to the 55th annual Pegasus Parade.
Having found a spot on Preston Street facing Broadway, we made camp, opened up our McDonald's bags for not-so-healthy supper, and awaited the beginning of the Parade.
As the event rolled along, I happened to notice one of Louisville's iconic landmarks being represented in the Louisville Water Company's entry heading down Broadway: the historic Louisville Water Tower, erected in 1860 (so to speak).
