Looking for an excuse to wear your Halloween mask one more time?
The "Prepare for Hell" Tour steamrolls its way to Rupp Arena this Saturday, November 22nd. Headlining the tour are masked metal legends Slipknot. The band is celebrating the release of their sixth studio album, .5: The Gray Chapter. The new album means new masks. So be sure to come to the show and - literally - see Slipknot like never before.
Slipknot will be sure to play plenty of songs from their new album, as well as revive fan favorites from the past. I have to admit, I peeked at the set-list. It's good. Like really good. This is the first U.S. tour Slipknot have had in years. If you are a die-hard Slipknot fan, you will be there. For those that haven’t seen Slipknot, expect plumes of fire; spinning drum sets; nine men playing amazing music in creepy masks; and a multitude of enthusiastic fans that wouldn’t be caught anywhere else on a Saturday night.
Korn, the pioneers of nu-metal, will be raging at the show as well. Korn is at the top of their game with the recent release of their new album, The Paradigm Shift: World Tour Edition. Beloved guitarist Brian “Head” Welch has returned permanently with the five-piece band. To honor the twentieth anniversary of their self-titled album, Korn will be performing much of it on the "Prepare for Hell" Tour. Anticipate a lively performance Saturday night. More specifically, vocalist Jonathan Davis will undoubtedly bring an exciting and aggressive stage presence throughout the entire production.
Starting the party will be the new, upcoming band, King 810. They just released their first album, Memoirs Of A Murder. Who knows? Maybe you’ll discover a new band to listen to.
With three bands that have never toured together, the "Prepare for Hell" Tour is sure to be a high-energy, unforgettable experience. If you still need tickets, you can purchase them here.
