    Bit to Do

There is no denying that the musical trends of the 1980’s are back…
And you don’t have to go to a Lady GaGa show or even search “Chromeo” on Hype Machine to prove it… Just head to Mall St. Matthews this weekend.

In one last bid for back-to-school wallet openings, the establishment’s parent company (General Growth Management, Inc.) has launched a nationwide promotion they call “Shop ‘Till You Rock.”

The mall promises that from 1-6pm on Saturday, the area in the mall that houses that large chess set near the food court will be transformed with games, give-aways, and an impromptu runway that could “reward guys and girls ages 13-19 with modeling contracts totaling nearly $400,000.” (That might be a little sensational…)

Not only that (and here is where the nostalgia kicks in…), at 4pm pop punk band Naked will put on a free concert.

Get more details on the national promotion (and maybe win a backstage concert experience with Demi Lovato) here.
